Let's get this straight ..... It was STEVE's note that mentioned the streaking... I just passed it on... :) John, I posted the picture you asked for and more on the 'past reunion photo' page.
It is so fun seeing pictures of the good old days.... keep posting, and if you have anything for the 'Class Museum' page, it is kind of skimpy. If you have trouble posting, send me a note, and I'll help you out. ~Chris~ Jan (Atkinson) Michel - 06-30-2006
We're in various stages of our 50's (some 60's), so that encouragement of streaking sounds kinda scary Chris! (but what happens in Marysville, stays in Marysville)
: )

I'm all signed up for Friday and Saturday - can't wait! Unfortunately I can't make it on Sunday to Red Hill as I have to get on a plane for Vancouver. I wanted to tell those who may want to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in YC, the first site I tried to book through said that it was full. So I went around to other booking tools and eventually got a room. So if you first get a message that there are no rooms available, keep trying other sites or call the hotel directly. Also, for the Holiday Inn Sacramento (J & 3rd - 4 blocks from the boat), their rooms on the executive floor are the same price (16th floor) and they said it's a 'secure floor'. (a doberman guards the hallway??). Anyway, it appeared they had a lot of rooms. The WUHS Class of 71 is holding their reunion there Saturday night. Chris (Bogdanoff) Bare - 06-29-2006
We are working hard to get the word out about the reunion. It will be fun to see everyone and talk about what we've been doing for the last 40 years. Oh my! Can we be that old?
~ Here's a note from STEVE ~
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE (NO, not the James Brown song!)
PLEASE, EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GET SIGNED UP FOR THE VENUES YOU PLAN TO ATTEND.
SINCE THE DINNER CRUISE IS A SELF-REGISTRATION, IT IS ON A FIRST-COME BASIS AND I UNDERSTAND THAT THE BOAT IS FILLING QUICKLY –
WITH “OTHER†PATRONS††.
FOR THE PEACHTREE, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE SIGNED UP/PAID TO PAY THE CLUB, BAND, ETC UP FRONT.
TOO, WITHOUT RESERVATION, IT WILL BE DIFFICULT (IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE) TO PROVIDE A MEAL AT THE LAST MOMENT.
WE ARE STILL CONTACTING NEW (OLD) CLASSMATES WHO DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE REUNION SO – AGAIN – I ASK YOUR HELP IN SPREADING THE WORD AND ENCOURAGING “ALL†TO COME.
MESSAGE BOARD and Guestbook – PLS FEEL FREE TO POST NOTES OF INTEREST TO OTHERS. THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW WHERE YOU ARE STAYING, CAN BE CONTACTED, WHO YOU WILL BE WITH, OR WHERE/WHEN YOU MAY BE AT A SPECIAL PLACE.
RED HILL SALOON - WE WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE RED HILL SALOON ON SUNDAY. ALTHOUGH A POT LUCK IS PLANNED, IT IS NOT REQUIRED. WE WILL HAVE SOME SNACKS/FINGER FOODS AND THERE WILL BE A ‘DONATION' TOWARD THE BAR BILL.
Many of you may not remember the Red Hill Saloon as opposed to D's or Bill's Place. The Red Hill Saloon is a place to meet ‘new' and ‘old' Wheatlandites! If you know Bruce Springsteen's song GLORY DAYS, you have a good sense of what to expect. To get there, you just pass WUHS and turn left at the “graveyard†(the S-curves are gone!). Proceed for mile and look for the WUHS sign – you can't miss it.
THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO COME BY IF YOU ARE STILL IN THE AREA – PLEASE DO
APPROPRIATE DRESS CODE: THERE IS NO/NO DRESS CODE FOR ANY OF THE EVENTS. PLEASE BE AS COMFORTABLE AS YOU LIKE.
“STREAKING†IS PERMITTED AND ENCOURAGED!
HOWEVER, I HEAR THERE MAY BE A PRIZE FOR THE BEST 60'S ATTIRE (IF YOU ARE BRAVE ENOUGH) AT THE PEACHTREE PARTY.

Looking forward to seeing alot of Pirates at the reunion. I have been going to the class of 70 reunions and they are a blast, some other 69ers show up to there also. DAVID AKINS - 06-20-2006
CLASSMATES OF 1967- MY TERMINAL ILLLNESS PREVENTS ME FROM ATTENDING THIS YEARS MULTI-CLASS REUNION. ALMOST 40 YEARS......'WHERE DID THE TIME GO'. AFTER HIGH SCHOOL I DID TWO TOURS OF DUTY WITH THE US NAVY. FROM THERE I ATTENDEDED COLLEGE AND ENBARKED ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT CAREER: MILITARY POLICE, WHEATLAND POLICE DEPT, YUBA COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFF (RETIRED FROM THERE) AND I ENDED MY CAREER WORKING AS A LAW/EDUCATIONAL OFFICER WITH NEVADA STATE PRISON IN LOVELOCK NV.
I SINCERELY WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY TIME AT THE REUNION AND IF YOU GET A MINUTE ' LIFT ONE FOR ME'
PLEASE DIRECT ANY EMAILS TO MY BROTHER , JOHN Kathy (Leger) Chastain- Class of '69 - 06-16-2006
Hello! I think it's GREAT that Steve, Birdie and friends have managed to get this so organized. Was able to attend a class of 68 reunion some years ago and had a great time, so I know this one will be great. I hope I am able to attend. I live in Palm Springs CA and would love to hear from long lost 69'ers , 68'ers or others. Have already heard from some old friends from this list so THANKS Steve and friends! It's been very fun to hear from old friends. John Akins - 06-15-2006
My continued compliments to Steve for the hard work being put into this reunion...it is going to be outstanding. Also recognition needs to go to those who are helping with putting this on. With all the people who are planning on attending-this should be lots of fun. For those of you who haven't been around in awhile, you would hardly recognize Wheatland. Unbelievable growth. I personally am looking foward to seeing old friends from yesteryear...I am sure the stories will flow............... Rick Pooler - 06-15-2006
Hi, everyone. I hope to see all of you at the reunion dinner dance. I heard that we will be treated to Louie Louie, Gloria ( G-L-O-R-I-A , Glooooria ) and the Land of a Thousand Dances-nah, nah-nah-nah-nah....etc.
The staples of any '66 era band.
I hope some of you have improved your dancing abilities. I have not.
Anyway it ought to be fun , since we won't have to sneak our alcohol past Coach Kersey, at the door ! See you there. RP Juanita Johnson - 06-14-2006
Class of '66. Hi everyone. I won't be able to attend. My daughter had to have surgery and we are helping her out. Wish I could be there. Thinking of all of you and hate to miss the upcoming good times. Patricia Perez-Compton - 06-14-2006
Loretta Thompson told me about the Reunion. Unfotunatley I won't be able to attend. Hope to connect with some you through emails. Pam (Madore) Walton - 06-14-2006
Hi all. I'm from the GREATEST CLASS OF ALL--1966!!! Although I didn't graduate from WUHS, I was there for three great years. Had to move my senior year and graduate from another school, but I still consider WUHS and all my wonderful classmates my 'main school'.
I have registered for both the Sac Riverboat Cruise and the Peachtree CC evening and encourage everyone else to do so ASAP.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone.
Best regards,
Pam Debby Heenan (Fink) - 06-12-2006
