Wheatland's main crops over the years have included wheat, hops, peaches, prunes, rice, almonds, and walnuts.

Only two hop kilns remain just to the east of town. They are barely standing near the location of the 1913 Hop Riots.

Next to Bill's Place on 4th street was once the Elwood Hotel. After it was demolished, this was the site of the Bank of America. It is now a clinic, but the ATM machine is still in use.

City Hall used to occupy this little building. The bell was once the fire bell and hung from the water tower. The fire department is now in this building.
