The next planning meeting for the WHS 100th anniversary celebration is set for Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at 6:30pm in Room D-1. If you are interested in becoming part of this exciting event, please call Mr. Contreras at 530-633-3100 x112.
All interested alumni, students, parents are encouraged to attend. The celebration is set for the week of October 8-13, 2007.
Roy Crabtree is working with the committee planning the 100th anniversary celebration of Wheatland High School. He asked me to put this on our website and send a note to everyone on our list.
The anniversary committee is putting together a magazine which will list all of the WHS graduates from 1914 to the present. The committee is also selling ads and asking for donations for this project. The magazine will be available during the event.
In addition to other activities, a big parade through Wheatland is planned for Saturday, October 13, 2007. It will conclude at the high school with a bar-b-que, and the high school football game. After the game there will be a dance and get-together for adults at the community center on C Street.
Roy is also seeking volunteers from ALL classes to set up tables or booths during this celebration so classmates can connect with each other and socialize.
The next Steering Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 16, 2007, at 6:30pm in the WHS Library. If you are interested in helping, please call Mr. Contreras at 530-633-3100 x112.

Mary (Bolton) Hennesy and I, Jerri (Lashlee) Roberts will be there. Mary & I will be in Marysville on Oct. 12th, staying with Bob & Birdie Klopf. Looking forward to the celebration, & we'll bring our yearbooks ('66-'68).
