Body:
I was in the middle of a geometry test in Mr. Hughes class. When the PA came on, the news caster was talking about Dallas and the things going on there. We all just kinda looking at each other, wondering what was going on. When he announced that the President had been shot, everyone froze in place. I remember thinking it could not be fatal and since he had gone to the hospital, the Dr.s would be able to treat him. As a side note, my brother, Trent and ( I think ) Bob Farney cut school that day and heard the news on the car radio while getting ready to go in the Airman's Club at Beale. When they went in and made the announcement, they almost got beat up by a bunch of guys in the club who thought that was the most tasteless prank they had ever heard. Someone turned on the news, and the atmosphere dramatically changed.
